The Lab

The LPMMC is a joint research unit in physics bringing together various theoretical expertise under the supervision of Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and the  CNRS (UMR 5493). Originally dedicated to numerical physics, it is now mainly focused on theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum physics.

The LPMMC is a member of the École doctorale de physique de Grenoble and is involved in local projects — such as the LANEF Labex, the PHYNUM project for numerical aspects, and the CTPGA for theoretical aspects — as well as national projects through the GDR COMPLEXE and the GDS EcoINFO.

Young and international, the laboratory hosts many students and visitors.
